Yoh Asakura

Status: Shaman

Age: 14

Profile: A calm and easygoing guy.  Most would consider him a slacker.  He’s the heir to a long line of Japanese shaman.  He may slack off in training, but when it’s time to fight he doesn’t quit.  He’s a very good shaman and extremely observant.  He currently lives in Shinra, but his hometown is Izumo.  His supreme goal in life is to live the easy life.  That’s why he wants to be crowned Shaman King. His Grandfather gave him the Antiquity and Yoh used it to to preform the double medium. He’s the leader of team Asakura (himself, Rio, and Faust) which is currently one of the teams in the 2nd round at Doby Village.

Morty Oyamada (Manta)

Family: Mother/Keiko  Sister/Mannoko  Father/Mansumi

Status: can see ghost

Age: 14

Profile: A short and weak student who is constantly carrying a clipboard and huge dictionary.  He always loved ghost stories and now he lives one.  He’s a close friend of Yoh’s and shows up for all the shaman fights he can. He and Yoh got into an argument after the fight with Faust VIII, but quickly resolved it after Morty followed him to Izumo. He, Anna, and Tammy are the one’s that gave Yoh the Tome of the Shaman, Yoh to give him the secrets to Zic’s power.

Anna Kyoyama

Family: Fiancée/Yoh

Status: Medium

Age: 14

Profile: Anna is very unlike most girls and that doesn’t include her ability to summon ghost.  She’s the heir to a family of mediums.  She is more of Yoh’s personal trainer than his betrothed.  She is determined to make Yoh Shaman King so she can be Shaman Queen.  She recently obtained 1,080 beads and a pair of Shikigami to guard her.

Amidamaru

Shaman: Yoh

Family: both parents died in the war

Status: Ghost

Profile: He lived in Japan’s Muromachi period.  He acted as a guard of few other children lost their parents during the war.  He acted as their bodyguard carrying only a katana.  As a result he had been fighting most of his life.  He became a samurai when he grew into an adult.  He died after slaying 50 of the king’s best men defending his best friend Monsuke. He now aids Yoh as his guardian ghost, and inhabits the spirit sword that Monsuke made.

Trey (Horohoro)

Specialty: Avalanche/Icicle Assault

Family: Sister/Pilika

Status: Shaman

Age: 14

Profile: A shaman that can freeze most anything. He comes from the far North.  His focus is a little strange, but it allows him to snow board hovering over ground.  His reason for wanting to be Shaman King is to save the Minushions.  His spirit partner is also a Minushion.  He’s good friends with Yoh, but sometimes fights with Rio and Len.

Tao Len (Ren)

Family: Uncle/Ein  Sister/June

Status: Shaman

Age: 14

Profile: Len is the heir to the notorious Chinese Tao family.  His uncle has been training him almost his whole life.  He tied Yoh in the 3rd fight of the 1^st round.  This made him realize his “use anger as a weapon” strategy was wrong.  He, June, Yoh, Trey, and Rio defeated his uncle and they quickly became friends afterwards.  He is now the head of the Tao family appointed by his ancestors and uncle. He is the leader of team Tao (himself, Trey, and Jaco) in the 2^nd round.

Rio (Ryu)

Focus: Wooden Katana

Spirit Ally: Tokogero

Specialty: Yamotama Orochi

Family: Unknown

Status: Shaman

Approx. Age: 20

Profile: Rio and Yoh started as enemies after Yoh sliced of his hair, because he and his gang, the dead-enders(wooden swords), beat up Morty and slashed Amidamaru’s tombstone in half.  They became friends after Rio learned of Yoh’s being a shaman.  Rio aided in the defeat of Li Pilong by lending Yoh his wooden sword.  He defeated 2 of the Joto guard.  He is almost constantly traveling on his motorcycle.  This gives him the odd ability to summon a fellow “brethren of the road” with his giant thumb. His guardian ghost’s giant form is an 8-headed Japanese demon snake.

Tao June

Spirit Ally: Li Pilong

Specialty: Daldondo Kick

Family: Uncle/Ein  Brother/Len

Status: Doshi

Age: 17

Profile: June is another member of the Tao family.  She is also a Doshi.  Doshis can use talismans to control dead bodies.  She keeps her talismans in a garner on her left thigh.  She nearly defeated Yoh with Li Pilong, but he managed to cut off Pilong’s talisman.  She also beat Shou Lin, the most powerful member of the Joto guard. Now, She travels with Len and Yoh.

Bason

Shaman: Len

Status: Ghost

Profile: A Chinese warrior ghost.  He’s completely obedient to “Master Len.” He saved Len by escaping to the Asakura household and telling Yoh about Len being captured and leading them to the Tao mansion.  Little is known about him.

Tokogero

Shaman: Rio

Status: Ghost

Profile: A rival of Amidamaru while they where alive.  He took Rio as a hostage to get back at Amidamaru.  He has always wanted to seem like a bad guy, but he never hurt anyone.  Yoh saw this and forced him to confess.  He later teamed up with Rio.

Corey

Shaman: Trey

Status: Spirit

Profile: Corey is a Minushion, so she possesses a strong bond with nature. She is an Ice spirit. She is constantly flirting with Morty.

Li Pilong

Doshi: June

Specialty: Daldondo Kick

Status: Corpus

Profile: Li Pilong was a famous Japanese action movie star. He very mysteriously died 17 years ago and they never found his body. He invented the art of Daldondo. The reason his body was never recovered is because the Tao family murdered him and took his body as a birthday present for June. Yoh and Amidamaru broke June’s talisman spell and freed Li Pilong. After calming him down, he decided he might as well stay with June as her

Guardian Ghost.

Silva

Status: Shaman fight officiator

Approx. Age: 25

Profile: Silva is a powerful Native American Shaman and one of the 10 officiators. He has 5 animal spirits. He’s almost constantly broke and sales stuff on the street to get food. He’s taken a liking to Yoh, and has helped him in several matters.

Faust VIII

Specialty: Bone-yard Crush

Family: Wife/ Eliza (dead)

Status: Necromancer

Approx. Age: 25

Profile: Faust was a doctor raised in Germany. His childhood girlfriend Eliza had an incurable disease. Faust finally cured her and they were married. Then, a thief shot and killed Eliza. Faust looked for a way to bring her back to life. He found the works of the original Dr. Faust, and learned necromancy. He then entered the tournament to bring her back for good. He beat and killed his 1^st opponent and tried to do the same to Yoh. Yoh lost and barely escaped. Anna helped Faust later, so he decided to join team Asakura in return.

Tammy (Tamo)

Spirit Ally: Conshi and Ponshi

Status: Shaman

Approx. Age: 14

Profile: Tammy is a bright young girl who has been training under Master Yohmay for many years. She has the ability to see visions about the future, but if misinterpreted, they can lead to disaster. She moved into the city with Anna and Yoh after their brief visit to the Asakura household.

Zic Asakura (Hao)

Spirit Ally: an ancient fire spirit

Family: Brother/Yoh

Status: Master Shaman

Approx. Age: 1,000

Profile: Zic mastered all 4 elements and the spirit world. Because he’s a Master Shaman, He can bring himself back into the world whenever he wants. When he was finally killed, he came back 500 years later to compete in the tournament, and now he’s come back again. His goal is to destroy all humans in the world, because he had a vision that humans would destroy the world. His goal is to leave only Shaman. He's the leader of team Star.

Elly

Focus: Finger Nails

Approx. Age: 18

Profile: Elly and Milly attacked Yoh once outside the tunnel of Tarterus. She’s a complete fashion freak and uses “like” every 5 words. She and the other -lys are a group of shaman hunting for Doby Village. Her group rivals team Asakura, but often work together instead of fight.

Milly

Focus: Crossbow

Status: Shaman

Approx Age: 15

Profile: Milly almost blocked Yoh from leaving the tunnel of Tarterus. She’s a little vertically challenged. She and Elly are nearly identical in their personalities. Milly lost her oracle bell once, and Yoh and his friends helped her get it back. Then, Yoh accidentally sliced it in two, but Silva gave her another to replace it. She has a huge crush on Lyserg as well.

Lilly

Focus: Glasses

Approx. Age: 18

Profile: Lilly is the brain of the -lys. Her unusual focus gives her the power to scan for things and use as high-powered binoculars. Other than she’s really smart, not a lot is known about her.

Sally

Focus: Mallet

Approx. Age: 18

Profile: There’s no doubt that she’s the strongest of the -lys. She loves destruction and never hesitates to fight. She rarely talks, so little is known about her.

Sharona

Focus: flute of some kind

Approx. Age: 18

Profile: Sharona is the leader of the -lys (herself, Elly, Milly, Sally, Lilly) even though her name doesn’t end with -ly. She too is a fashion freak that makes all her “underlings” dress nice. She constantly pretends to be French.

Lyserg Dithil

Family: Parents were killed by Zic when he was 6

Age: 14

Profile: Lyserg is the heir to a family of English dousers. He’s an exceptionally strong shaman. Zeke murdered his parents and Lyserg swore revenge on him, so he went all over attacking random shaman to see if they could beat him. If they could, he’d let them join his party. He found Rio, then attacked team Asakura injuring Trey and Len. Yoh unwillingly beat him and sought help for his 2 injured friends. After this, Lyserg saw how wrong he was after a speech from Len and joined team Asakura. He left and became an X-law. Lyserg went after Zeke for revenge. Chloe tried to get Yoh for help, but Lyserg got so mad that he threw away both Chloe and his pendulum.

Chloe

Shaman: None

Status: Spirit

Profile: Chloe can’t talk so nobody can tell much about her. She’s clearly very protective of Lyserg. She has been a part of the Dithil family for many years. She’s also a key part of the Dithil dousing test that all the oldest boys of the family take at age 6. She went to get Yoh when she saw Lyserg in trouble, but Lyserg got so mad that he left her with Yoh.

Jaco
