Morty was just a short dorky kid that loved ghost stories. One night while walking home, he passed a graveyard called
Monument Hill. A voice called out to him, "Hey, you want to hang out with us." Morty turned to see a boy about his age (but
much taller) standing by himself. "Us who," Morty replied, "Your invisable friends?" "Yeah, my invisable friends," He
shouted back. Then, Ghost began to appear all around him. Morty ran in terror. The next day, Morty told the story to his classmates.
They all laughted until the same boy from the night before came to defend Morty's story. They laughted harder. The teacher
explained that the boy was a new student named Yoh Asakura from Izumo. Morty followed Yoh all afternoon. Yoh gave him
the slip, so Morty went to the same grave. A street gang called the dead enders (lead by a guy named Rio) showed up and
beat up Morty for intruding on thier "Sacred Hang." Yoh hears about it and goes to Monument Hill dragging Morty along. Rio
accidently knocks over a headstone. BB (one of the dead enders) tells Rio to be carefull, and he explains the grave he hit
was the tomb of Amidamaru. Amidamaru was a samuri that betray the king and was killed, but slaughtered 50 of the kings best
men, and he said that that stone was the only thing sealing him in the tomb. Rio slashes it in half with his wooden katana.
Rio spots Yoh and Morty. Yoh tells him to quit picking on Morty and to stop smashing graves. Rio gets angry and attacks. "Amidamaru,
spirit form," Yoh yells as Rio charges, "Unity," Yoh places Amidamaru's spirit in him and pulls up a grave marker. Yoh charges
rio and slices the front of his pompador. "I am a shaman, a link to the world beyond. You should have more respect for a spirit's
finnal resting place Rio," Yoh said, "Next time, I'll do more than just take a little off the top."
